- Accumulator
- An Accumulator combines multiple selections into one wager; all picks must win for a payout, multiplying the odds.
- Asian Handicap
- Asian Handicap splits the spread into two half-line bets, reducing the chance of a push and offering more flexible risk.
- Bankroll
- Your Bankroll is the total amount of money you have set aside for betting activities.
- Bookmaker Margin (Juice/Vig)
- Bookmaker Margin, also called Juice or Vig, is the built-in percentage that ensures the book makes a profit regardless of the result.
- Both Teams to Score (BTTS)
- BTTS is a bet on whether both sides will score at least one goal during the match.
- Cash Out
- Cash Out allows you to settle a bet before the event ends, locking in a profit or limiting a loss based on current odds.
- Clean Sheet
- A Clean Sheet bet wins if the selected team does not concede any goals during the match.
- Closing Line
- The Closing Line is the final set of odds offered just before a match starts; beating it often indicates a good value bet.
- Double Chance
- Double Chance lets you cover two of the three possible match outcomes in a single bet, lowering risk.
- Draw No Bet
- Draw No Bet removes the draw outcome, giving you your stake back if the match ends in a tie.
- Edge
- Edge is the statistical advantage you have over the bookmaker, often identified through analysis of odds and probabilities.
- Half-Time/Full-Time
- Half-Time/Full-Time requires predicting the score at both the end of the first half and the final whistle.
- Live Betting
- Live Betting lets you place bets on a match while it is in progress, with odds that update as the game unfolds.
- Moneyline
- A Moneyline bet is a straightforward wager on which team will win the match, with odds reflecting each side’s chance.
- Odds
- Odds express the likelihood of an outcome and determine how much you win if your bet is correct.
- Over/Under
- Over/Under bets ask whether the total number of goals in a match will be higher or lower than a set line.
- Player Props
- Player Props are bets on individual player performances, such as goals scored, assists, cards, or minutes played.
- Point Spread
- A Point Spread assigns a handicap to the favorite, requiring them to win by a certain margin for bets on them to pay.
- Public Money
- Public Money refers to the volume of bets placed by casual bettors, often causing odds to shift toward popular teams.
- Reverse Line Movement
- Reverse Line Movement occurs when the line moves opposite to where the majority of public money is being wagered.
- Staking Plan
- A Staking Plan is a structured method for deciding how much of your bankroll to risk on each wager.
- Steam
- Steam describes a rapid, uniform movement of odds across many books, usually triggered by heavy betting action on one side.
- Unit
- A Unit is a standard measurement of bet size, usually a small percentage of your bankroll, used to keep stakes consistent.
- Value Bet
- A Value Bet occurs when the odds offered by the bookmaker are higher than the true probability of the outcome, giving you an edge.
